The Chef & Hostess

The Chef & Hostess, i.e. moi, Tanja, has been in Langkawi for the last 9 years. I was an accidental chef, having never "cooked" before in my entire life!!! Naaah.... just joking!

It gives me great joy seeing our guests enjoy the foods at Red Tomato and most of them come and come again. I am also humbled to find out that our past patrons are the key people who promote and market Red Tomato to their friends who visit Langkawi.

The Cafe

Designed and built by Oli Khalid, the Cafe is surrounded by natural and wild plants, water features and ethnic elements. Tiny fishes in a built-in wall and paintings by Oli can be seen around the cafe. Patrons can enjoy freshly baked breads, crunchy pizzas and healthy choice of salads amidst this unique setting.

The Red Tomato Garden Café is nestled along Pantai Cenang on the island of Langkawi. It is a good place to stop by for your healthy breakfast of toast and coffee or settle for fresh garden salad and pasta for a pretty reasonable price. Beats having the complimentary breakfast buffet provided by your hotel! As implied by its name, Red Tomato Garden Café is surrounded by greens and wonderful friendly staff. The Café offers an extensive menu from Breakfast, Lunch to Dinner. The tropical indoor surroundings and great food makes it a must-visit. The place is noted for its fresh from-the-oven Homemade Bread, Red tomato Salad drizzled with extra virgin Olive Oil, pasta, huge fluffy Sandwiches, Yoghurt Lassi's and Coffee ..... ooh
